AWWA
In response to waterborne diseases spreading prevalent at the time, the AWWA was founded in 1881 to ensure safe and clean drinking water for everyone. Now over 130 years later it has grown into the largest nonprofit education and science centered association dedicated to WATER, our most important resource in the world. AWWA has roughly 50,000 members worldwide. AWWA & The California - Nevada Section of AWWA are two associations linked together by a common belief and a common passion - Safe and Reliable Drinking Water. Our passion is to support the drinking water professionals that provide water to millions of people throughout California and Nevada. In 2014, CWEA-AWWA-CPP became a student organization under the California Nevada Section. |
WHAT WE OFFER
Although we are a smaller club, we value our members and provide them the best opportunities possible. Over the last 7 years, we have grown tremendously. CWEA-AWWA-CPP holds various social, professional, and technical events. These events include presentations given by members of the professional and academic community, networking functions with professionals, research experience for undergraduates (REU) informationals, resume workshops, and technical tours, as well as holding club fund raisers and fund raisers for other non-profit organizations. Our members have the chance to participate in our PSWC Environmental Competition, which is an intercollegiate competition focusing on water treatment principles.
